Original vintage glossy 3 x 6.5 wire photograph of Al Capone’s mugshot after his arrest for tax evasion in 1931. The reverse is dated January 23, 1947, and bears an affixed newspaper caption: “Al Capone, prohibition era gang leader, suffering from an apoplectic stroke at his home on Palm Island, Miami. Doctors said Capone is unconscious and shows no signs of a rally. Photo above was taken in 1931.” In fine condition, with evenly trimmed edges and light crazing. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic 'Type IV' photograph from 1947.
