Description

American Internet pioneer (born 1943) and one of 'the fathers of the Internet,' who developed TCP/IP technology and the first commercial email system. Three items signed in felt tip by Vint Cerf: a sketch of the “Internet ca. 1977,” accomplished on a 6 x 4 sheet, which shows a basic diagram of the gateways and hosts connecting PRNET, ARPANET, and SATNET; a 3.5˝ program disk for America Online (Macintosh Version 2.6); and a glossy 6 x 4 photo of Cerf being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush in November 2005. In overall very fine condition. Accompanied by a personal Google business card belonging to Cerf, who has signed the card in black ink.
