Archive of more than 150 Apple-focused periodicals, newsletters, and reference publications spanning the Apple II and early Macintosh eras, curated by computer historian Erik Klein, founder of the Vintage Computer Forum and the vintage-computer.com website. The archive is highlighted by an extensive run of Softalk — the beloved Apple II monthly mailed free to registered owners — beginning with the September 1980 premiere issue and running from June 1982 through the magazine’s final issue of August 1984, with numerous duplicates, plus a 1983 Volume 3 issue. Apple Orchard, the magazine of the International Apple Core, is present in depth: Vol. 1.1 (1980, the Fifth Annual West Coast Faire issue, including Contact 1980/81), continuing through 1984 across multiple boxes with overlapping and duplicate copies. The early Macintosh era is represented by Macworld from its 1984 premiere issue through December 1985.

Computer historian Erik Klein has been a leading figure in the preservation of early personal computing for more than two decades. An engineer and software developer by profession, Klein founded the Vintage Computer Forum and the vintage-computer.com website, later serving as chairman of the board of the Vintage Computer Federation and organizing the annual Vintage Computer Festival West.
