Original 3.75 x 5 cabinet photograph of Confederate General Thomas 'Stonewall' Jackson in an artistic bust-length portrait, depicting him with the three-star collar insignia of a Confederate lieutenant general, the rank he held during the final months of his life. Archivally matted and framed to an overall size of 9.5 x 11.75; frame backing bears an affixed photocopied image of the reverse of the photograph, which shows period collector annotations identifying the subject, additional handwritten notations concerning the framing, and, most notably, a stamped ownership mark reading: "Collection of Ambrose Lee, Williamsbridge, New York City."
