Original circa 1981 oversized 22.5 x 34.5 color poster featuring a photograph of the iconic rainbow-striped Apple Computer hot air balloon as captured by photographer Jim Guss floating over Donner Lake in California during a promotional campaign, given by Steve Jobs to his father, Paul. Framed later to an overall size of 26 x 38. In fine condition.
In 1981, Apple turned its rainbow logo into a full-scale hot air balloon and flew it over Donner Lake, California, creating one of the most striking early images of the company’s playful, sky’s-the-limit identity. Photographed by Jim Guss, the balloon appeared in this now-rare Apple promotional poster; it was also present at Steve Wozniak’s wedding to Candice Clark on June 13, 1981.
