Partly-printed Sears, Roebuck and Co. invoice, one page, 5.25 x 10.5, listing a purchase date of November 19, 1976, and stamped with a delivery date of January 29, 1977. Filled out in an unknown hand, the invoice documents the cash purchase of a "65037 Roller Combo" by "Apple Computer Co. (Paul), 770 Welch Rd., Palo Alto." The address is the location of the answering service and mail drop that they used while still operating out of the famous Jobs family garage; "Paul" was presumably Paul Jobs, the father of Steve Jobs. The Sears stock number corresponds to a solid steel Craftsman 7-drawer rolling tool cabinet, presumably ordered to store component parts for Apple's early computers. In fine condition.
Provenance: from the personal collection of John Chovanec, stepbrother of Steve Jobs.
