Significant 1983 Apple Macintosh spiral-bound birthday/desk calendar, 7.25 x 7.25, featuring the birthdays of the original Macintosh development team printed throughout. Notable entries include Steve Jobs (February 24th), Andy Hertzfeld, Bill Atkinson, Dan Kottke, Jerry Manock, Caroline Rose, Mike Murray, and many other key Apple employees central to the creation of the original Macintosh computer. The calendar's font and graphics were created by Susan Kare, designer of the fonts and icons of the original Apple Macintosh user interface.
Also includes a heather gray "Macintosh Staff" hoodie sweatshirt, imprinted "90 Hrs/Wk and Loving It!" on the back. Commissioned by Debbie Coleman, controller of the Mac Division, only 12 dozen of these hoodies were produced for Mac team members and a handful of Apple employees tasked with working on the launch of the Macintosh. In overall very good to fine condition, with a light stain to the sweatshirt's pouch pocket.
From the personal collection of Apple employee P. A. Tavenier, whose name is inscribed on the first page of the calendar, and accompanied by one of his original Apple Computer business cards, listing his title as "Manager, Procurement Engineering, Macintosh Division." He notes that he received these at Apple's infamous development team retreat at La Playa Carmel resort in January 1983.
