Original vintage color 23.5 x 31.5 poster of the iconic Macintosh 'Picasso' logo bordered by gray bands down the edges, with "Macintosh" imprinted in the upper left corner, and the Apple Computer logo in white at lower left. Rolled and in very good condition, with light scattered foxing.
Although the ‘Picasso’ logo has become synonymous with the Macintosh, credit to the great Spanish artist is a misnomer. Per Apple designer John Casado from an interview with Cult of Mac: ‘The inspiration for the drawing style was Matisse, whom I so admired as an artist. The idea of the graphics being ‘Picasso style’ was, as I remember, a journalist’s description at the time of the launch. I think since no one ever asked me or Tom where the influence came from, it became fact.’
