The cels have been trimmed and applied to a hand-painted background. Character images measure from 3.25 x 6 and 3 x 6, with a mat opening of 11.5 x 8.5. Framed to an overall size of 17.25 x 15.25. In good to very good condition, with significant chipping and cracking to Barney Bear's paint.
In Barney’s Hungry Cousin (1953), Barney Bear’s relaxing picnic is ruined by his greedy bear cousin, who keeps stealing and devouring all the food. The cartoon follows Barney’s increasingly frustrated attempts to outsmart him, with the cousin’s appetite driving most of the slapstick trouble. The cartoon is notable as the first known mention of Jellystone National Park, which would go on to become the home of Hanna-Barbera's cartoon star Yogi Bear.
