(MGM Studios, 1955) Original production cels featuring Tom, Jerry, and Uncle Pecos from Pecos Pest, showing the two mice approaching the sleeping tomcat, signed and inscribed on the set-up's mat in ink by the producer, "To Garfield Cass: 'Tom and Jerry' join me in extending best wishes, Fred Quimby." The cels have been trimmed and applied to a hand-painted background. Character images measure from 1.25 x 1 to 7.75 x 4.5, with a mat opening of 11.5 x 8.5. Framed to an overall size of 17.25 x 15.25. In fine condition.
In Pecos Pest, Jerry’s Uncle Pecos visits and tries to perform 'Froggie Went A-Courtin’,' repeatedly plucking Tom’s whiskers to replace broken guitar strings. Tom spends the cartoon fleeing Uncle Pecos’s painful music-making, only for the performance to become a chaotic hit.
