Original hand-inked Sunday comic strip artwork for Walt Disney's Treasury of Classic Tales, accomplished in ink and colored pencil on 26 x 18.25 artist's board by Disney artist Mike Arens for publication on February 17, 1974. Featuring ten panels from Disney's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, the comic strip depicts Alice taking “a bite of the cookie” and beginning to grow until she exclaims, “Oh!” and realizes, “Now I shall never get through your door!” After quickly countering the effect with the famous “Drink Me” bottle, she shrinks again. The adventure then shifts to the Dodo's absurd Caucus Race, where participants are instructed to run “forward, backward, inward, outward…come and join the chase,” before Alice spots the White Rabbit once more and eagerly cries, “Oh! Mister Rabbit!” The strip includes its original affixed title card, copyright notice, and King Features Syndicate distribution label. In fine condition, with water damage to the upper left corner.
