Rare sterling silver Tinker Bell figural pin commissioned by Walt Disney and presented to Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929–2022), the wife of renowned animator and Disney Legend Marc Davis, one of Walt Disney’s celebrated ‘Nine Old Men.’ Measuring approximately 1˝ x 2.25˝, the finely rendered pin depicts the winged fairy standing with a hand on her hip, retaining its original pinback and marked “STERLING” on the reverse. These sterling silver Tinker Bell pins were specially commissioned by Walt Disney and distributed as gifts to the wives of Disney merchandising representatives and other key Disney associates invited to an annual VIP dinner attended by Walt and Roy Disney. The pins were placed at each guest’s setting and were never offered for public sale. Produced in extremely limited numbers, these sterling silver keepsakes survive as rare and intimate artifacts from the inner circle of the Walt Disney organization during its formative decades.
