Limited edition color semi-glossy 11 x 14 close-up photograph of Marilyn Monroe taken by photojournalist George Barris as part of ‘The Last Shot’ series captured by Barris in July 1962, just a few weeks before her death, numbered 55/99, with the lower right bearing a blindstamp marked, “George Barris / Edward Weston Collection.” The reverse bears “This Paper Manufactured by Kodak” watermarks, a Weston Collection copyright label, and a 1987 copyright stamp for the “George Barris/Marilyn Monroe, Edward Weston Collection.” In fine condition, with slight show-through from copyright stamp on reverse. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA, certifying it as an authentic “Type II” photograph.
