Group of three 1:48-scale educational display models representing launch vehicles from NASA’s early manned spaceflight programs, consisting of a Mercury-Redstone rocket, Mercury-Atlas rocket, and Gemini-Titan II launch vehicle, constructed of composite materials, plastic, and metal components, ranging in height from 21.75˝ to 28˝, each mounted on a circular wooden presentation base with engraved identification plaque. The undersides of the wooden bases retain manufacturer’s labels reading: “Made in Canada by: Nick Proach Models, Sechelt B.C.” In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered wear like cracks and chips, and some repairs; the Gemini-Titan II model requires two securing nuts for stable attachment to its base. An impressive set of three educational display models representing launch vehicles from NASA’s pioneering Mercury and Gemini programs.
