Ticket stub issued for a lecture by legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright at Holmberg Hall at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, on April 17, 1958. The oversized ticket, 7.5 x 3, features Wright's iconic ‘Whirling Arrow’ motif at left, paired with bold, minimalist typography that reflects his distinctive graphic sensibility. Issued by the university's student chapter of the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.), the ticket admits one to the 8:00 p.m. lecture and bears the original admission price of $2.00. In fine condition, with light wear and toning to the left edge. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "GOOD 2 (MK).”
Delivered during the final year of Wright's remarkable career, the lecture came as the 90-year-old architect remained actively engaged in promoting his vision of organic architecture while completing such late masterpieces as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Original admission material from Wright's public appearances is seldom encountered.
