Pair of Olympic souvenir flags issued for the Squaw Valley 1960 Winter Olympics and the Mexico City 1968 Summer Olympics. The Squaw Valley example is a cloth flag mounted to a wooden staff, measuring 17.5˝ x 11.75˝, and features the official VIII Olympic Winter Games emblem with Olympic rings; and the Mexico City banner, 9˝ x 16˝, is executed in satin-like fabric with red trim and tassels, displaying an Aztec calendar-inspired design over the Olympic rings, “68, Mexico,” and “XIX.” In overall very good to fine condition, with staining to the Squaw Valley flag.
