The card lists steps covering cabin venting, oxygen, communications, controls, and lighting, all of which speak directly to the precise procedural choreography required before opening the spacecraft to the vacuum of space. Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by Buzz Aldrin, in full: "Enclosed with this letter is a check list card titled 'Egress Preparation' with over 40 steps listed on a single side. The card was carried on the flight of Gemini XII during November 1966. I used this card to prepare for my spacewalks during the flight. James Lovell was the commander this last manned Gemini mission. The card has been in my private collection since 1966. I have written: 'Flown on Gemini XII, used during EVA' and signed the card along the left edge."
