Description

Massive outdoor "Microsoft Windows" flag from their Redmond headquarters

Huge white nylon flag, measuring approximately 10 feet by 6 feet, which was installed for a short period of time on the flag poles in front of Building 9 at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington, which housed the executive offices at the time. The flag features the "Microsoft Windows" emblem sewn on in five colors. In very good to fine condition, with some scattered staining. The consignor reports: "A defect was noticed on the flag prior to the execs arriving so it was removed and a replacement ordered. I have had that flag since I left the company in 1994."

Microsoft established its headquarters in Redmond, Washington, in 1986, moving from nearby Bellevue as the company rapidly expanded. The Redmond campus became the center of Microsoft’s software development, corporate leadership, and global operations, helping shape the region into a major technology hub. Today, Microsoft’s presence in Redmond remains a defining part of the city’s identity and economy.
