Original vintage glossy 7.5 x 9.25 photo of Marilyn Monroe in her early role as Peggy in Fritz Lang's 1952 noir romance Clash by Night, showing her in a strapless dress and feather boa. Reverse bears an affixed caption: "Marilyn Monroe gets her first crack at a dramatic role in Wald-Krasna's 'Clash by Night.' The cast of the RKO Radio release now features three top stars, Barbara Stanwyck, Paul Douglas, and Miss Monroe, with one star role yet to be filled. Miss Monroe is at the RKO studio on loan-out from 20th Century-Fox, where she appeared in 'All About Eve' and 'Love Nest.'" In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing and a short tear to the bottom edge. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic 'Type I' photograph, circa 1950s.
