The light fabric, collared shirt retains its original Machin Shirtmaker of Los Angeles label to the inner collar, which is stamped, “Elton John, August 1975.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
The consignor notes that this shirt was originally sold by Elton John at his first ‘Out of the Closet’ sale. Elton John can be seen wearing a near-identical shirt at the first Rock Music Awards at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, August 9, 1975.
