Christian Simonpiétri (1940–2023) was a French photojournalist whose career spanned frontline war coverage and intimate celebrity portraiture. Born in Saigon, he began as a combat photographer during the Vietnam War with the Gamma agency, later joining Sygma, where he helped define modern photo reportage.
