Two original glossy 7.75 x 5.25 candid ‘outtake’ photos of the Beatles by photographer Peter Blake, wearing their iconic military dress uniforms during the photo shoot for the cover of the band’s eighth studio album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which occurred at Michael Cooper’s London photographic studio on March 30, 1967. In addition to the front cover shot, the Beatles also posed for the images used on the back cover and the gatefold sleeve. The reverse of both bear “File Copy” stamps and notations dated to April 1976; the reverse of one bears a copyright ‘Single use only’ stamp, and the other attributes the image to Peter Blake. In overall fine condition.
