Semi-glossy 11.5 x 15 silver gelatin photograph of John Lennon by Annie Leibovitz, taken during a photo shoot for Rolling Stone magazine, which took place on West 61st Street in New York City on December 4, 1970. The image, which depicts Lennon wearing a denim shirt and overalls and looking at the camera, was published on the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine on January 21, 1971. The reverse bears a printed photo credit with title, “John Lennon, New York City, 1970,” above a Leibovitz copyright stamp marked in pencil, “Print, 8 Feb 76.” In fine condition.
