The consignor reports: "Both books signed for Tansy Wilkinson, aged 7. Inscribed by the author to Tansy at Heffers Children's Bookshop, King Street, Cambridge, where, in the summer of 1998, J. K. Rowling had given a talk to a small audience of keen young readers including Tansy, a devout Harry Potter enthusiast, and her mother, on writing the books and being a writer. Formerly owned by the Heffer family, Heffers Bookshop was founded by William Heffer in 1876. For Harry Potter fans it is remembered as the place where Thomas Taylor (illustrator of the first book in the Harry Potter series, The Philosophers Stone) was working when he created the iconic book cover illustration in 1996."
