(Walt Disney Studios, 1939) Original model sheet drawing of Mickey Mouse from The Pointer, featuring four full-bodied poses of the woodsman mouse dressed in his hunter's outfit. Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 12 x 10 animation paper. Each image measures about 3.5 x 4. Nicely mounted, matted, and framed to an overall size of 21.5 x 19.5. In fine condition. Recognized as a milestone film in the development of the modern Mickey Mouse, The Pointer was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 12th Academy Awards, but ultimately lost to Disney's own The Ugly Duckling, the final installment of the Silly Symphony series.
