Description

Appealing lucky penny token from Buchanan's Department Store in St. Mary's, Ohio, measuring 1.25˝ in diameter, with the border reading: "Keep Me and Never Go Broke." The reverse reads: "Buchanan's, 210 & 213 E. Spring St., St. Marys, Ohio." Neil Armstrong spent part of his childhood in St. Marys—just ten miles west of Wapakoneta, Ohio—and his ancestors were some of the city's earliest settlers. Encapsulated by CAG as being from the Armstrong Family Collection. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from The Armstrong Family Collection, signed by Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
