Gordon Cooper’s flown sterling silver Gemini 5 Fliteline medallion, approximately 1˝ in diameter, with a raised design of the "8 Days or Bust" mission insignia on the front and the reverse engraved "August 21–29, 1965" and hallmarked "Sterling" at the bottom. Condition is mint state, with some minor tarnishing to edges and reverse. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Joe Garino, Jr., a former physical conditioning supervisor at NASA, who Cooper gifted this medallion after the mission. A desirable, uncommon medallion — one of a purported 100 flown on Gemini 5 — related to the final spaceflight of Cooper’s astronautical career.
