Flown embroidered Apollo 9 insignia patch that was carried in low Earth orbit for 10 days during the Apollo 9 mission. The patch, 3.5˝ in diameter, is signed and flight-certified on the reverse in green felt tip, “Jim McDivitt, Flown on Apollo 9,” who also signs an included 8.5 x 11 certificate of authenticity, which reads: “I certify that this crew patch was flown onboard Apollo 9 on her flight from March 3-13, 1969.” In very fine condition. A desirable flown patch with direct lineage to the mission’s commander, who successfully led the first crewed test of the Lunar Module in space.
