Partly-printed 4 x 2.25 pass issued by the Texas & California Stage Co. in 1880, marked as no. "83," issued to "J. H. Franklin, Supt., Boston & New York Air Line R.R.C.," and signed in ink by General Superintendent R. C. Kerens. The pass features an ornate border and terms printed on the reverse, in part: "In consideration of Free Passage, the person accepting and using this Ticket thereby expressly agrees to assume all risk of accidents." Includes a 5.5 x 2.75 cardstock pocket map showing "some of the lines of the Texas and California Stage Co.," which pass from Austin to San Diego, from Dallas to Fort Concho, and from Harwood to Eagle Pass, Texas.
