(Walt Disney Studios, 1937) Exceedingly rare original production background painting of the title card book for the French release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The painting depicts an impressive tome, with ornate devices to the spine and front board, which also bears the title window with fleur-de-lis designs. Accomplished in gouache on untrimmed 16 x 13 animation paper annotated in pencil and ballpoint along the bottom edge, "2001, (2801), Book cover - French - 6 Short Special, Title No. 4." The reverse is numbered, “TM500D73.” In fine condition, with a couple of short tape-repaired edge tears.
