Original 1868 presidential campaign ribbon issued by the ‘Hancock Club’ for the Democratic ticket of Horatio Seymour for President and Francis Preston Blair, Jr. for Vice President, measuring 3˝ x 10.75˝, topped with a patriotic rosette bearing a ferrotype portrait pin of “Vice President F. P. Blair, 1868.” The ribbon bears a Democratic motif above a shield of the two candidates and text: “Seymour and Blair, Our Candidates for 1868.” In fine condition, with partial disintegration to sections of the fragile rosette.
