Norwegian explorer (1872–1928) who navigated the Northwest Passage, fixed the position of the North Magnetic Pole, and was the first to reach the South Pole. Ink signature, "Roald Amundsen, 6.3.1917,” on an off-white 7 x 4.25 album page. Includes a first edition of My Life as an Explorer, published by Doubleday, Page & Company in 1927; and a first edition of First Crossing of the Polar Sea, published by George H. Doran and Company in 1927. In overall very good to fine condition, with bumped corners and edgewear to the books. Accompanied by a custom-made presentation folder for the signature.
