The earliest letter, signed as attorney general, January 30, 1961, thanks Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Johnson for their kind note: “Your confidence as well as your generous remarks are deeply appreciated.” The second letter, signed as attorney general, September 4, 1964, thanking Wilson A. Templett for his contribution to the Kennedy Library: “You were very generous and thoughtful to do this in memory of President Kennedy, and we are most grateful.” The third letter, signed as a New York Senator, March 6, 1967, sent to Hugh D. Auchincloss, Jr.: “I appreciate knowing about the cuff links. I don’t think we’ll go into this right now, but I’ll keep them in mind.” The fourth letter, as a New York Senator, November 6, 1957, sent to New York politician Irving Mosberg: “My thanks for a most enjoyable evening. I most appreciate the thoughtfulness of you and the entire Queens Democratic organization.” Kennedy signs again to the left, “My best, Bob Kennedy.” In overall fine condition.
