Founded in Mamaroneck, New York, in 1973, the Teleram Communications Corporation was a pioneering computer company that manufactured some of the first commercially successful portable computers in the mid-1970s. The battery-powered T-3000 was introduced in 1983, based on a CMOS Z80 microprocessor. It is an interesting machine as one of the earliest battery-powered portables.
