Steve Jobs's personally-owned vintage circa 1979–1980 internal Apple Computer "THINK" poster, 22 x 11.75, featuring "THINK" in rainbow-striped floating block letters against a matte-black background. Below, the "Apple Computer Inc." logo is imprinted in glossy black lettering. Affixed to a same-size mount and in fine condition, with a few minor surface dings toward the edges, and some fading to the once-vivid bands of color.
This playful poster was devised as an internal parody of IBM's "THINK" slogan, reproducing it in Apple's trademark six bands of color. It was never publicly distributed, reserved solely for Apple employees and select external VIPs. Steve Jobs proudly displayed one of the posters at his desk, as seen in Tony Korody's famous 1981 portraits of the Apple executive.
This was one of several Apple promotional posters kept in the back garage of the Los Altos family home.
Provenance: from the personal collection of John Chovanec, stepbrother of Steve Jobs.
