Original vintage glossy 7 x 5 photo of Italian runner Dorando Pietri after having collapsed from exhaustion near the finish line of the men’s marathon at the London 1908 Games. The photo shows two umpires attending to Pietri as well as the packed stands of the Olympic Stadium in the background. The reverse bears pencil notations indicating that the photo was taken by the Brown Brothers of New York. In very good to fine condition, with scattered creases and edgewear.
