Group lot of six Apple Computer caps, including two snapback versions and four strapback versions, all featuring an Apple logo to the crown, one of which includes a Macintosh-era 'Picasso' logo. In overall fine condition, with some scattered wear and stains from use.
Although the ‘Picasso’ logo has become synonymous with the Macintosh, credit to the great Spanish artist is a misnomer. Per Apple designer John Casado from an interview with Cult of Mac: ‘The inspiration for the drawing style was Matisse, whom I so admired as an artist. The idea of the graphics being ‘Picasso style’ was, as I remember, a journalist’s description at the time of the launch. I think since no one ever asked me or Tom where the influence came from, it became fact.’
