Dazzling original Metal Man pinball machine—a rarely seen medieval fantasy-meets-heavy metal gaming export from Spain
Rare original Metal Man ‘solid state electronic’ pinball machine manufactured by Inder (Industria Electromecánica de Recreativos S.A.) of Madrid, Spain, and originally released in 1992. The machine, which measures 49? x 25.5? x 76?, features amazing fantasy and heavy metal-themed graphics on the cabinet, backglass, and playfield, which include knights, swords, skulls, fire, griffons, medieval pennons and architecture, and even a topless damsel in distress. The game consists of upper and lower playfields with advanced ball-handling features, which include a ball elevator, catapult launcher, upper and lower kickout holes, special/extra ball award paths, a ‘horseshoe’ loop shot, and dozens of light triggers that help make Metal Man a visually dynamic gaming experience. The lower right of the backglass is marked “M17-A1954, 93-0215.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered scratches and marks to the cabinet sides and back, the left of which contains a large vertical crack. Accompanied by two external step-up transformers (Vevor 500VA and Philmore ST-500), adapters that allow a European-voltage pinball machine to operate from a North American outlet.
