The consignor reports that this is "from a fund raiser in 1985 for the Special Olympics held at Private Eyes Night Club on 21st street on December 10th. It was a competition for who decorate the most interesting Christmas tree, and Andy Warhol decorated his tree with hand signed dollar bills. There was a dinner and event to select the winner. I was present at the end of the evening because my friend Michael Gueli was manager of Private Eyes and he invited me to come help undecorate the tree and secure the dollar bills. The event was in a tent erected in a parking lot adjacent to the night club."
