(Bakshi Productions, 1977) Original production cel of Avatar from Ralph Bakshi's sci-fi fantasy film Wizards, which depicts the powerful wizard in a full-length walking pose with several bright stars and flowers floating over his head. Image measures 5.26 x 6.75, with overall dimensions of 13 x 11. The cel is placed on a color copy background and is matted to an overall size of 18 x 14. In fine condition. Wizards is notable for being the first fantasy film by Bakshi, who was previously known only for ‘urban films,’ such as animated cult classics Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic, and Coonskin.
