Official French-language service card from the Paris 1900 Exposition Universelle, which played host to that year's Olympics. Organized by the ‘Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Posts and Telegraphs,’ the card, 4 x 2.5, which consists of a carte-de-visite portrait photo of its bearer, features an affixed ‘Carte de Service’ label to the reverse and a bearer signature tab to the front. The reverse label, numbered “7,634,” issues the card to Augustine Farcot, a mechanical engineer of the engineering firm Farcot Frères & Cie, based in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, Paris, France.
