Individual winners at Athens 1906 were awarded the standard trio of gold medals for first place, silver medals for second, and bronze for third. Winners in team events, however received silver medals for first and bronze medals for second; third-place finishers in team events did not receive medals. Team events in 1906 included soccer, tug of war, gymnastics, shooting, fencing, and rowing.
