Grouping of 17 promotional items for the 1984 debut of the Macintosh personal computer, deriving from the personal collection of former Apple creative director Clement Mok, who worked closely with Steve Jobs as part of the Macintosh design team. The lot includes: a spiral-bound Macintosh user’s manual with ‘Picasso’ logo to the front cover; two introductory launch brochures with the cover text: “Of the 235 million people in America, only a fraction can use a computer”; an 8.5 x 11 ream of Macintosh notebook paper with a small red Apple logo to the upper right; group of 12 unused ‘Apple Macintosh’ stickers with ‘Picasso’ logos; and an empty ‘Ten Disks’ floppy disk storage box. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by four color glossy photos of Apple Macintosh launch materials and an impressive Macintosh launch exhibition, three of which are laminated, with the reverse of two bearing Mok’s personal design and ownership labels.
