Original rubbing of Jimi Hendrix's since-removed headstone, accomplished on 23.75 x 15.5 brown kraft paper, featuring the image of an electric guitar and the memorial text: "Forever in Our Hearts, James M. 'Jimi' Hendrix." Framed to an overall size of 25.25 x 17. In very good to fine condition, with the glass loose within the frame.
On February 12, 2003, Rolling Stone reported: 'Jimi Hendrix‘s remains have been moved from his plot at Renton, Washington’s Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery and they will be relocated to a new memorial…Hendrix’s initial burial site—marked by a simple gravestone reading: Forever in Our Hearts—has been a tourist attraction since he died in 1970.'
