Original vintage circa 1930s glossy 6.5 x 8.5 close-up photo of Al Capone in Chicago’s Federal Building in 1931, after signing a $50,000 bail bond that marked the beginning of his prosecution for failure to pay significant income tax. The image clearly shows Capone's knife scars on the left side of his face. The reverse bears various stamps and affixed newspaper clippings. In very good condition, with moderately heavy overall creasing, and a small chip to the left border. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic "Type III" photograph, circa 1930s.
The Marc and Mary Perkins Collection.
