Original vintage 1931 semi-glossy 8.5 x 6.5 silver gelatin news service photo of Al Capone ready to sign a $50,000 bail bond in Chicago’s Federal Building in 1931, marking the beginning of his prosecution for failure to pay significant income tax. To the left of Capone are Dwight Green and Samuel Clawson, the two U.S. Attorneys prosecuting the case. The reverse bears an affixed caption, an ‘International Newsreel’ stamp, and a date stamp of June 8, 1931. In fine condition. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic "Type I" photograph from 1931.
