Invitation package for John F. Kennedy's inauguration on January 20, 1961, including: an official Congressional invitation to the inaugural ceremonies; matte-finish 6.25 x 9.5 portraits of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson bearing facsimile signatures; an official "Inauguration Ceremonies" program; and the original "Congress of the United States" envelope which contained the items.
Also includes: an "Inaugural Activities Calendar and Information" sheet; an invitation to a reception hosted on January 18, 1961, by "The Official Hospitality Committee of the Inaugural Committee 1961"; an invitation to a reception "in honor of the Governors of the States and Special Distinguished Guests" on January 19, 1961; and a Western Union telegram with instructions for meeting an official car "to stay with you through inaugural ball." In overall fine condition.
