Description

Group of ten concert and exhibition posters, ranging in size from 14 x 21 to 17 x 29, featuring a great variety of psychedelic artwork. Includes: a third printing concert poster for the Grateful Dead at the Avalon Ballroom in August 1966 (FD-22-3); a first printing concert poster for the Butterfield Blues Band at the Fillmore Auditorium in July 1967 (BG-72); a first printing concert poster for Vanilla Fudge and Blue Cheer at the Fillmore in September 1967 (BG-84); a first printing of "Sparta Poster #2," commemorating the 'Summer of Love,' depicting cultural icons from the period; a second printing concert poster for the James Cotton Band and Blood, Sweat and Tears at the Fillmore in March 1968 (BG-110); a first printing concert poster for Love and Lee Michaels at the Avalon Ballroom in November 1968 (FD-146); a first printing concert poster for The Kinks at Robertson Gym, UCSB, in May 1974; a poster commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Jimi Hendrix Experience at the C.N.E. Coliseum Arena in Toronto (1988); an exhibition poster for "The Summer of Love," designed by Stanley Mouse (2005); and a Wolfgang's Vault reprint of the poster for The Who and Buddy Guy at the Fillmore East in April 1968 (2006). In overall very good to fine condition.
