Description

Vintage bomber-style black zippered crew jacket for Aerosmith’s 1984-1985 Back in the Saddle Tour, size large, with shoulder straps, black knit cuffs, collar, and waistband, and the back area is embroidered with the Aerosmith logo above stylized text: “Back in the Saddle Tour ‘84.’” In fine condition.

The Back in the Saddle Tour was a comeback concert tour by Aerosmith, who had been relatively inactive for the past several years due to various drug and alcohol problems. In 1983, the original band members ‘started drifting back together’ after Joe Perry had kicked his heroin habit and Steven Tyler had managed his drinking. Despite having told Perry, ‘I never want to fucking play on the same stage with you again,’ Tyler later came around and retracted his harsh words, saying, ‘Time heals all wounds. Joe is nothing without me, and I'm nothing without him.’ The two-leg 65-show tour began on June 22, 1984, in Concord, New Hampshire, and ended on January 18, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio, and was deemed by all as a rousing success.
