Two unused Civil War-era mailing envelopes, each 5.5 x 3, which include: a circa 1860 presidential campaign cover for Abraham Lincoln, which shows a beardless Lincoln surrounded by four flags, with banner text, “The Peoples’ Candidate for President, Abraham Lincoln,” a Car Bell printer stamp, “‘Old Abe,’ the Man for the Times,” and “USA” in patriotic colors; and a CSA cover with a colorful design of “The Pirate Flag,” which lists the names of Confederate President and Vice President Jefferson Davis and Alexander H. Stephen. Also included is a United States National 34-Star Flag cover and a 4 x 2.5 carte-de-visite entitled “Treason and Loyalty.” In overall fine condition.
